UPCOMING EVENTS

5-Minute Project Shares

Would you like to hear more about recent place-based projects? Do you have a project or initiative that you have worked on that you’d like to share?

We've had lots of requests for opportunities to hear about other place-based projects. So, we're excited to invite you to our new 5-Minute Project Shares session.

This is a great opportunity to get together to inspire, learn and discuss what's going on in your area. We're asking people to get involved by sharing a project or even an idea with the group. As the name suggests, a 5 minute presentation from each person would be brilliant, but we don't expect anything formal. It's just a chance to get together to listen and learn about various projects.

This experimental event will take place on 27 March and we can't wait to hear from you!

Take part

Connect and Reflect

Join our next ‘Connect and Reflect: Springing Forward, Reflecting Back’ session on Wednesday 3 April

The sessions provide the perfect time to digitally connect with your place-based peers, consider a range of topics and come away with new approaches to your work.

Our ‘Connect and Reflect’ sessions take place on the first Wednesday of each month and the upcoming sessions are:

SECTOR UPDATES

New survey on early years and creativity

We’ve commissioned Magic Acorns CIC to research examples of arts practices that nurture and listen to the voices of young children. The short survey is open until Friday 5 April.

If you know practitioners or organisations working with children aged from birth to three, feel free to share the survey to help us understand how young children use creativity to understand the world.

Share your thoughts

Environmental Responsibility Annual Report

Each year we team up with Julie’s Bicycle to produce our Environmental Responsibility Annual Report, which celebrates the successes of creative and cultural organisations in acting on national and international climate targets.

The report offers insights into the creative and cultural sector’s continuing commitment to Environmental Responsibility, showing success stories and how organisations are understanding and reducing their environmental impact.

Historic England celebrated the end of the High Streets Heritage Action Zones programme with a new toolkit was launched to support people putting on free, community events in their high streets or town centres.

The toolkit was developed by Emergency Exit Arts and takes the lessons, ideas and conversations that came out of Hi! Street Fest and combines them with EEA’s 40 years of experience to create a “how to” for putting on free cultural community events in high streets or town centres.

The toolkit covers everything from budgeting, marketing, evaluation and co-creation with templates, checklists and timelines.
